Utah - Salt Lake City Area : These photos were taken the last week of June 2008 while attending the American Birding Association Convention at the Snowbird Ski Resort just east of Salt Lake City. Field trips during the convention included Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake, Silver Lake in the Brighton Ski Area, Bald Mountain & Trial Lake Areas, The Inland Sea Shorebird Reserve near the Kennecott Copper Mine, and the large Deseret Ranch just west of the Wyoming border. I also toured Provo Canyon, Deer Creek Reservoir, Sundance Ski Resort, and the Bear River Migratory Bird Preserve on my own. The photos include a mix of scenery, animal and bird wildlife, and wildflowers that I encountered during my week long trip.

Ecuador - Hummingbirds and More. - March 2008 : These photographs were taken on a guided birding trip to Ecuador in March 2008. The trip included the capital city of Quito and the Mindo Valley, on the NW slope of the Andeas Mountains. The majority of the pictures are of hummingbirds, but include some other birds, wildflowers, butterflies and scenery. I hope you enjoy the photographs.
